Co-Founder & CEO
Udayan has been in the Energy Industry since 1990 having worked with Siemens in the areas of Industrial Automation and Drives, Power Transmission & Distribution.
Udayan entered the renewable-energy industry in Australia in 2009, founding an industry-leading business with a team of well-established electricians.
Today, that same team, continues to deliver high-quality solutions to the market through UB Energy.
He is a CPA as well as an A-Grade electrician and an SAA (Solar Accreditation Australia) accredited designer and installer for Grid-connect PV and Battery Systems, and leads from the front!
Bhajan Plahe
Co-Founder and CFO
Bhajan has held various roles in the finance, project management and business development areas of the Energy industry since 1998.
She co-founded a leading EPC business in 2009, which gradually became a benchmark in Australia.
In 2022, with her divestment from that business, she co-founded UB Energy Pty Ltd.
She is an FCCA (UK) and brings decades of experience to the finance and accounting functions.
Mark Deutschbein
Technical Consultant
Mark (far right in the image receiving his award from the CEC in 2015) has been with the team since 2010, and was a key part of the development of the quality standards, and the auditing standards of the work we have done in the industry.
Mark was involved in all our auditing work, including IKEA, which, together with Udayan were made safer.
Mark is an A-grade electrician, grid- and off-grid accredited designer and installer, with extensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
This team
Most if not all our core team comprises electricians, or engineers. This starts at the top, with our Managing Director. Our committment to the industry is reflected in the people who make up the team, each of whom has an umatched track record in his/her skill set.
Graham Bardell-Williams
Sales & Business Development
Graham has worked with the team since 2016; he was drawn to the high quality standards that were espoused by the core team: Udayan, Bhajan, Mark Deutschbein, Mark Fanning and Mark Richards.
These standards of work set new benchmarks in the industry and Graham was happy to be part of such a team.
He has been in the solar PV industry since 2010 supporting customers, small and large, with solar PV solutions for their homes and businesses.
Graham also enjoys being out in the field and likes to 'put his money where his mouth is'! Here he is, helping install a 10kWp on a single-storey property.

Mark Richards
Senior Electrician and Head of Audits
Mark Richards has worked with the team since 2010; He has been a mentor to Udayan, supporting him through his journey in gaining his A-grade!
Mark has also been invovled in audits which were carried out by this team (previously under the banner of iEnergytech, since taken over by FlowPower,in 2022), for customers such as Hume City Council and other similar clients.
He is an A-grade electrician and an SAA accredited designer and installer.
